2. Identify your target
Target: Who has the power to make the change you want to see?
The target is the decisionmaker who has power over the thing you want to change. They are usually a leader of some kind, such as the school principle, the mayor of the city, the President, or the CEO of a company. Write down the person or people who have the most power over your goal.
Campaigns usually work best when you target ONE person. If you have written down a group of people with power, for example, the city council or ‘the government’, try to narrow it down. What is the name of chair of the council? What is the name of the Minister responsible for your concern (e.g. the Minister of Environment)?
